Creating a sustainable and harmonious world by blending modern technology, ancient sciences, and indigenous knowledge for the well-being of all life.
Team Varisth has played a significant role in heritage conservation at both the state and national levels in India. In collaboration with IIT Roorkee, the team documented 18 temples in Raebareli and the heritage of the Military Cantonment in Lucknow. Additionally, we contributed to the preliminary survey of the Chatris in Mathura and the Rasil Bihari Lal Temples. Our efforts are further strengthened by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Uttar Pradesh State Directorate of Archaeology.
Team Varisth has been actively engaged in promoting health awareness among the general public. Recently, we organised an awareness camp on cervical cancer, educating women about its impact and preventive measures. Additionally, after thorough research on the benefits of the Himalayan singing bowl, we conducted sound therapy camps for pilots, using this technique to help them enhance focus and alleviate stress and anxiety.
Team Varisth is actively preparing for a large-scale plantation drive in Lucknow, beginning with the peripheral areas of the Lucknow Cantonment. This initiative is being carried out in collaboration with organisations such as NBRI and a Raebareli-based NGO.
Team Varisth is dedicated to developing effective solutions for disaster management. Our specialised team won the Disaster Management AWS Hackathon by addressing the dangers of thunderstorm lightning and its fatal impact on human lives. Additionally, we developed Project IINDRA, a solution designed to combat Pala (frost) on vegetation, helping farmers protect their crops—an essential source of their livelihood.
This initiative aims to mentor young individuals pursuing careers in defence, guiding them toward socially productive paths. To create an effective learning environment, our study groups are structured based on personality types and skill levels.
We proudly participated in the AWS Disaster Management Hackathon, presenting an innovative solution for thunderstorm prediction using machine learning as Team VARISTH. Our interdisciplinary team, comprising data scientists, domain experts, and advisors, developed a supervised model capable of predicting lightning up to 30 minutes in advance. Leveraging Amazon SageMaker Studio Lab and sophisticated algorithms such as SVM, K-NN, logistic regression, and decision trees, we achieved remarkable prediction accuracy. Competing against over 1,464 participants, our solution was validated by a distinguished panel, earning us the second position and reinforcing our commitment to delivering impactful, technology-driven solutions for disaster resilience.
