The Uttar Pradesh State Archaeology Department has launched a key initiative under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to preserve and promote the state's historical monuments and protected sites. With more than 200 heritage sites across Uttar Pradesh, this program showcases the architectural beauty and cultural importance of these landmarks.
To raise awareness and foster appreciation, the department has invited NCC cadets to visit these sites, learn about their historical and architectural significance, and gain insights into the ongoing conservation efforts. This educational initiative not only deepens our understanding of our architectural legacy but also encourages a sense of responsibility for its preservation.
NCC units interested in participating are advised to plan their visit in advance by contacting the Uttar Pradesh State Archaeology Department at uparchaeologyactivities@gmail.com. Guided tours and informative sessions will be arranged to enhance the experience.
This initiative creates a vital link between history, architecture, and modern conservation, ensuring that our rich heritage is preserved for future generations.
